The Services of the Eye Clinic of West Point The Eye Clinic is dedicated to providing the most comprehensive medical eye examination possible. We guarantee our commitment to stay abreast of the latest procedures, products, and treatments to better serve your needs. We examines the entire eye and adnexa using state of the art instruments.

Comprehensive Eye Exam A comprehensive eye examination includes a complete medical and visual case history and a comprehensive analysis of ocular health and visual performance. The results of the eye exam will lead to an optimum spectacle prescription for safety and visual performance. A dilated pupil eye examination will also detect the presence of eye diseases, such as cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Moore uses a wide variety of tests and procedures to examine your eyes. These tests range from having you read an eye chart, to complex optometric tests, such as using a high-powered lens to visualize the tiny structures inside of your eyes.  Dr. Moore uses pediatric charts and a less intimidating portable instruments for children’s examinations.

High-Definition Retinal Imaging We utilizes a state-of-the-art Topcon Digital Retinal Camera. This instrument allows us to take photographs of the back of your eye (retina), and enable us to carry out a far more detailed exam than was previously possible. The image we take is similar to the one shown to the right, and Dr. Moore can immediately use this photo to diagnose the health and condition of your eyes.

Contact Lens Evaluation The contact lens evaluation offers a range of contact lens materials, replacement schedules, and care systems for contact lens wearers. Daily, bifocal, gas permeable (RGP) & extended wear lenses are all available. In addition, we offer contact lenses designs for astigmatism, keratoconus, and cosmetic tints.

Children’s Vision 1 in 4 has an undetected vision problem that can interfere with learning. According to research published in the Journal of Behavioral Optometry, there is a significant relationship between undetected vision problems and reading, learning and behavioral difficulties.

InfantSEE™ is a volunteer program designed to ensure that eye care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. Under this program, Dr. Moore will provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment for children within the first year of life at no cost, regardless of financial need.
